Full and Partial Dentures
At Cardinal Dental, we understand having missing teeth can make day-to-day life difficult. Being unable to eat the foods you like, feeling self-conscious about smiling, and difficulty speaking can all feel frustrating.
Dr. Cynthia Blalock takes the time and care necessary to create comfortable, attractive full and partial dentures for our patients that need restorative dentistry.
Complete (Full) Dentures
When you are missing all your teeth on your upper or lower arch, we may recommend complete dentures to replace your teeth. When you think of dentures, you might remember images of boxy, fake looking teeth that your grandparents wore. You will be happy to know, today dentures are more comfortable and more attractive than ever! We can make them realistic and comfortable, while still giving you an attractive smile.
All dentures are not created equally. In fact, creating dentures that look and feel great is an art. Dr. Ulrich has the experience necessary to ensure that you receive the best possible care when it comes to your dentures. When dentures do not fit correctly, they can cause sores and come loose, creating embarrassing situations.
Even if you have complete dentures, it is still vitally important to maintain regular dental exams. We will examine your dentures and look for possible damage and denture sores, as well as perform an oral cancer screening. Having a routine oral cancer screening could save your life!
Custom Partial Dentures
When you are missing teeth but still retain some of your natural teeth, we can use them as an anchor to support your partial denture. Partial dentures can replace one to many teeth. We design them to match your smile so they look natural.
We create partial dentures from lightweight resin or metal and artificial teeth. They will fit snugly around your existing teeth and allow you to speak and chew more easily. Because your teeth shift and bone changes over time, your partial denture may require occasional adjustments to fit comfortably.
If you want extra stability, you may consider implant-retained dentures to provide you with added confidence. By using several implants to anchor your denture in place, you donít have to worry about it coming loose or moving around. Implant-retained dentures have the added benefit of helping prevent the bone loss that is common when you lose teeth.
We will work with a trusted oral surgeon to design the implant-retained dentures that will give you the best, most reliable results.
